We are very proud that AAPI has been committed to the Affordable Health Care Act.
the national chapter of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin is the largest ethnic medical society in the US, second only to the American Medical Association (AMA). AAPI West is a forum to facilitate and enable American Physicians to excel in patient care, teaching, research and to pursue their aspirations in professional and community affairs.
Over the past three years our medical community has faced adversity, working tirelessly on the forefront of the pandemic. We learned how much we depend on each other, our community and network. And although Covid persists, with the current vaccines and boosters available we are in a much better position to face whatever the future may hold.
AAPI West will once again have a number of educational, charitable and community outreach projects planned throughout the year. We have already begun, starting things off with a Summer Blood Drive which was quite successful. In October we were one of the Presenting Sponsors of the Diabetes Foundation of West’s Walk for Diabetes. We also collaborated with the Georgia Association of Physicians from India to help raise money for suicide prevention.
Continuing our focus on encouraging medical students and young physicians to be part of our organization, we will again offer free membership to all medical students. And we will vigorously support AAPI’s mission to provide Indo American physicians with a strong community support and resources to excel in their careers.
There is no better way to network, form friendships and stay up to date on our Community!
With warm regards, Sincerely,
