The national chapter of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin is the largest ethnic medical society in the US, AAPI represents the interests of 80,000 physicians of Indian origin as well as 40,000 medical students, residents, and fellows of Indian origin. Statistics have shown that 1 in every 7 patients in the USA is treated by a physician of Indian origin, and they greatly influence the American health care system as practitioners, educators and medical entrepreneurs.
We are very proud that AAPI has been committed to the Affordable Health Care Act. As a matter of fact, a number of our members were involved in different capacities in its creation, implementation and adjudication.
In addition to supporting the mission and vision of the national organization, AAPI West serves the needs of Indian Physicians at a local level, through educational programs, community outreach plan and charitable events.
